I have a ramp to my bed that we teach them all to use, but once in awhile onw will slip off. Scares me to death. I also put those cat condo carpeted cubes (well round) at every bed and couch in the house.

Getting steps will not fit the 'look' of the living room, so i guess he won't be jumping up or down the couch.

Mine doesn't sleep in my bed cause I'm scared to squish him, he does sleep in his comfy cage beside my bed tho.

My Yorkie not only jumps on and off furniture like superman - she jumps all the baby gates we have up. I do think she has flying powers. Lily is 9 months old weights in at about 7.5 pounds and is a little Houdini! I quit worrying about injury - she is soft on her feet and I have talked to others who have fluff balls jump the gates too. She has been doing this for months - we now double gate the doors. She also thinks she can walk on water - you should have seen the look on her face the first time she tried that!
