You did the right thing in getting her to someone who can help...both your little guys are sooo cute and I'm sure will be a joy when they're both healthy!

Oh i didn't take it as disrepectfull at all i totally agree with you my daughter is only 17 and knows nothing about little dogs at all. Now i have a minpin that was about 9 weeks old when i got her and she weighed less than a pound but i never had a single problem with her i think i just got really lucky with her though. But as far as yorkies go i am a total newbie to i have been reading about them for hours on end trying to learn as much as i can just in case heaven forbid something happens like that again.

As far as the little girl goes, I experienced the hypoglycemia with a maltese I had, I always keep karo syrup on hand, that works just as well as the nutrical, and as far as your little boy goes, he's precious, and looks very much all yorkie to me..with his weight, I think you may have yourself a big boy.. My big one weighs 14 lbs. but is a real sweetie(most of the time).. Congrats on your little guy..

What a sweet boy! Welcome to YT. Make sure you sign him up for our Little Gentleman's Club, you can do so on this thread: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...ight=gentleman

Hope your daughter's baby has time with mom & littermates & gets strong before she's home again. Maybe you can't tell your daughter anything, but we can - hehehe. See if you can get her to register here on YT. There are other young gals & many experienced yorkie owners she might listen to.

He is a cute little guy! Please keep us updated on your little one...I have a tiny one myself. KaCee is almost 10 weeks old and weighs right at 1 lb. Her second night at home her blood sugar dropped...luckily we were able to revive her quickly with nutrical. Now she gets a little dab morning and night, access to food 24 hours a day and sleeps with a heating pad to stay warm. It is definetly all worth it when I get to see her play with her big brother (10 lb. schnoodle).

I have a update on the little one! We went and picked her up last night and I since i went with her i got to ask questions (she was with the women who actually knew what she was doing this time) She was born November 5th so when she was sold to my daughters boyfriend she just turned 7 weeks old and she wasn't a pound at the time yet. She has been keeping her under a heat light and feeding her goats milk and puppy weaning food but even with the milk mixed in with the food to make it soft she wouldn't eat it so she was having to force feed her 4 times a day. Well when we got home with her we put her in her cage with the light on top and of course she whined so we let her out and she went nuts running around playing with her almost 11 week old uncle Max it was so cute. Then it came time to feed max so i carried his little bowl to him (because he wouldn't leave the room to go eat haha) and he started chowing down and when Bella seen him eating she ran over sniffed the food and started chowing away to i looked at my daughter and told her maybe that was all it took was seeing another dog enjoying it lol. But anyways now all the little thing wants to so is eat oh and play she is doing good as of last night when we went to bed i haven't seen her yet this morning because my daughter has her in her room but we are keeping her in the cage (i hate the way that sounds) with a heat light at night to keep her warm and if we don't think she is getting enough to drink we play the squirt the water in the syringe at her and she loves it she just laps it up as it comes out. Like i said so far things are great oh and also we got the Nutri-Cal stuff like you all advised lets just hope we won't need to use it I almost forgot she weighs 1.2 lbs now and they said they estimate her to be at least 5lbs fully grown if not a little more.

I forgot to tell you all i got the story on the so called breeder who sold her she had gotten 3 female dogs bought for her and paid a stud fee to have them breaded realised she couldn't handle it and and sold them all that is where Bella came from never saw her mommy or daddy because she sold the mommy and she never had the daddy she never gave my daughter shot records or papers or anything for her so i took her by their last night and told her get them from her and to take no excuses make sure she didn't walk out without them. This was the last puppy this woman had and thank god she isn't breeding anymore because she knows nothing at all about dogs i personally would have never bought one from her but now that Brittany (my daughter) has her i wouldn't give her up for the world we call her our grandpuppy hehe.

Bella has been with the breeders sis-in-law who has been breeding minpins for 46 year just in case you were wondering. We weren't crazy enough to let that other SO CALLED dog lover (as she calls herself) and used to be breeder keep her.
