| ![]() Well her boyfriend gave her (Bella) top her on Christmas Eve she brought her home that night abouto 11pm and she ran around a little with our 3 year old fem. minpin Skeeta for about 15 min. and of course i had to hold her for a little bit then she took her upstairs and put her in the kennel which didn't fly with Bella she wined the second she put her in so of course my daughter takes her out and puts her in bed with her even though i kept telling her no because she might roll over on her or Bella may jump off and hurt herself but my daughter will be 18 in 2 months and thinks everyone but her is wrong and that it is her dog and no one can tell her what to do so i lost that fight anyways the next morning Christmas morning! she carries her downstairs in her carrier where she stayed sleeping until we opened presents then she ask me to check on her because she thought that maybe she was sick so i reached in and felt her nose and kind of petted her and i told her something just didn't seem right that is when she tells me that when she woke up earlier and put Bella on her pad to pee that she peed took a step and slopped like she was just really tired well as soon as she told me that i called the vets emergency number and had him paged and while i was doing that she got Bella out of the kennel and her little head just fell back she was so lethargic and then after a minute or so she started to seizure well i am sitting here waiting on the vet to call and my daughter calls her boyfriend and his mom gets on the phone and says that she is going to call the breeder well she gets a hold of the breeder before the vet calls back and the breeder said bring her back right away so i rush my daughter and her baby to the breeder and she rubs some nutri-cal on her tongue and waits a few minutes and nothin so she calls her sis-in-law and she tells her to bring her to her right away so my daughter tells her yes go ahead and take her well then we get a call a few hours later from the breeder saying it was a sugar drop and that the sis-in-law put a tube straight to the puppies tummy to feed her and now she is up and running and doing great well i guess the breeder went and picked her back up from her sis-in-laws and had her with her a couple days just to make sure she was gonna be okay and it was or so we thought because we were supposed to have went and picked her up yesterday at 530pm but when we get there she said i don't have her she is back at Connies (the sis-in-laws) it turns out that when she woke up that morning to go to work the pup was unresponsive again so she called her sis-in-law and took her back to her and she said that dog was dehydrated and cold so she put Bella under a heat lamp and after about a half hour she was doing just fine and as of earlier today she still was Connie said that she didn't want her going back to the breeders (her own sis-in-laws) because she couldn't give her the care she needed and ask my daughter if she could keep her for a few more days and of course my daughter told her yes so hopefully if all goes well she will get to come home in just a few days. |

| ![]() This baby needs to be watched closely for several more weeks, IMO. I am shocked that a breeder would let her go at such a weight, especially to a home with little/no experience with little ones. (I mean no disrespect to you in saying this) Until their blood sugar stabalizes, they need 24 hour access to food and sometimes regular nutrical. You did the right thing in getting her to someone who can help...both your little guys are sooo cute and I'm sure will be a joy when they're both healthy! ![]() |
