I honeslty have no problem w/ people touching my dog but I just don't like to let anyone I don't know HOLD them. I am afraid they could drop them or even try to run away w/ them. If that ever happened then I'd be in jail for murder ... but that's besides the point.

No way were you overly rude with all the dognapping i wouldnt let anyone hold my baby. when we had lycan we went to midevil fair here and this woman walked up and totally just started trying to take her from me...luckily my husband is BIG and is not as passive as i am

She just kept persisting and I finally had to be really nasty and yell at her to back the *uck off me and dog.

I don't know about over reacting, but the above quote you made to her, might be the reason she went outside to find a TEACUP to HOLD. She probably forgot all about it, and just had a CUP OF TEA.

Angie I totally agree with you. I totally have NO problem with people petting Coco. I will admit that before I got her, I used to want to pet every cute doggie I saw. I would always ask of course, but I remember wanting to pet every persons dog on the street. But I would never ask to hold them, as I know that pets are like kids to most, and if anything happened to them in my care, I would feel horrible. So unless I know the person (i.e. friend, family), and they can hold her properly, she doesn't get held by strangers.
