| pet sitter thumbs up on the pet sitter. she was wonderful. played with Ahia and gave Buckeye his massage. she did all the things that i said i usually do. she acted like she really enjoyed them. you know how your human children would hate to see a sitter leave if they had a good time? well Buckeye acted as if he hated to see her leave. i was so worried about the whole deal but it turned out good. i wanted to call at half-time but my cell would not work in the alamo dome without roaming charges and my husband said "no no you can wait until you get there". what a wonderful idea. i just wish everyone could be trusted. but unfortunately there are crazies in this world. i looked her over well and talked to her a lot before we got there. i felt i knew her by the time we actually met her. and by the way in case you didn't see the game. we won. GO BUCKS!

| If you don't mind me asking, about how much did the pet sitter run you? I'm glad it turned out to be a good experience. At least now you know if a similar situation arises in the future you have the sitter! |

| Glad it went well, I do a bit of dog minding - have a Westie called Angus here (his 4th visit) and his new yorkie sister Molly who at 6 and a half months is just a month older than our baby Gizzie (we also have 17 month old Gypsy Rose) - our guests have had the time of their lives but Gypsy Rose has not taken to Molly at all and is so unhappy!! Molly is sweet and loving but is not housetrained AT ALL!! Just thought I'd give you the other side of the story ...LOL!! Angus, is as always the perfect gentleman!! A good dog minder is hard to find 'cos many of us give it up when we havve problems!! Sure yours will keep you on though as it sounds as if yours were perfectly behaved!! I have had wonderful dogs here and fallen in love with them but also had nonhousetrained (at least Molly is a pup!!) and destructive dogs too!! When the dogs stay here I brush them, sing to them (poor dogs!!), walk them and they get treated like royalty - and no, I'm not trying to promote my business as I live in Wales LOL!! Keep a hold of that dog minder!! |

| I ran into all kinds of prices. the one we chose had an family emergency a couple of days before and she recommended this lady. i dont' know what she usually charges but the one who was supposed to do it was $15. hr. another lady who was older said she only sits in her house and charges $15. and afternoon. no cages she just lets them have the house as if they were her own. she said if she comes across a couple that do not get along she just divides the rooms with a gate to keep them seperated. another lady said she usually only goes to the homes while the owner is away to walk them and make sure they have food and water she said she is $10. hr. various prices for various task. I thought $15 hr was quite expensive and so did my husband. but for taking care of them so well i gladly paid it. we were gone close to 6 hrs. so she made good money for just playing and walking them.
