| ![]() if you are already in love with him, you'll regret giving him away. four dogs is not that many. especially small dogs! as long as you have the resources to care for him, then keep him! i'm sure he's very happy with you and his pals already!

| ![]() It depends on how much money you have to care for them. Having a number of old dogs can put you in the poor house vet-wise. I am happy with 4 to 6..and I do not believe you have to do all possible to prolong the life of an old, sick dog. |

| ![]() I am the wrong person to answer this question 'cause we have a houseful. I have probably financed the newer wing at my vets office. $ has to be a concern and also the caretaking aspects. I am lucky to have some willing teenage kids that help with grooming and cuddling, but when my nest gets empty, I'll probably downsize the crew, so everybody gets enough individual attention every day. It's not right to keep them if you don't have time to make each one special. It is an individual thing and only you know what works for you. I don't think 4 would be a problem at all, depending on what your schedule is like. |

| ![]() Thank you all so much for your help~~ I think we will keep him. My husband has been outnumbered for the past few years anyway with all the girls in the house~~ And we already named him so I guess technically I was fooling myself here....LOL If for some bizarre reason I find him the perfect person maybe I could consider it but for now he stays....... Thanks again everyone~~ Now if I could only figure out how to decrease the size of a pic I can post some pics of him ~~~

| ![]() I'm glad you decided to keep him, if only for a while longer. I have 5 and want 3 more, 2 girls and a boy. I want them all to live in the house with us and if a problem crops up, I'll handle it then. Villette and I know someone who has 10 and I have not heard one word about a kennel. Villette has known her longer and might have heard of a kennel, but I don't think so. Sylvia |
