Hey! Glad to have you! I've been to Valley Center numerous times since I grew up in SC Kansas. How has the weather been?

Haven KS. I'm headed back there Christmas day! I think our highschool teams played each other possibly.

My cousin lived there when we were young so I spent alot of time in Haven too! Small world!

No kidding! But these towns ARE small worlds, that's for sure! My great grandfather was born at our family farm near Haven, and he grew up and raised a family there, and then after my parents had a few kids, they sold the farm to them and built a house in Haven. So some older generations in my family have invested lots of time and energy on that tiny little town! I hope to buy the home there someday once my parents decide to leave. I've got a grandmother with property near Partridge too, which I bet will stay in the family as well. Pretty cool huh? I went to college in Wichita and just moved down here this summer. I miss KS weather!! (ok, maybe just the summertime, not so much all the snow!)

I've lived in VC all my life with the exception of living in Germany for 3 years while my husband was in the Army and a year in Colorado Springs before he got out of the Army. It was probably the early 60's when I would visit my cousin in Haven. We've been to Carriage Crossing a few times in the last year or so. As far as the weather in KS, lately we seem to have one extreme or the other... it is so hot and humid in the summer (we don't have much spring) and yesterday we had this Winter Storm/Blizzard thing like we haven't had in years!
I would love to email with you so we don't bore everyone here with our reminiscing.
