Attachment 179243 hey every1 im new here, i am ment to be buying two yorkies on monday but one of them is white and i asked the owner about it and she said that it is a pedegree and it is registered and is a yorkie. what do you think? here's a pic of her x

Lots of people have litters of pups where one will have a white spot on them. I've never seen a yorkie this white, even a biewer, looks more like a cavalier king charles spaniel to me, but that doesn't mean it isn't a yorkie. Ask to see the parents, learn more about the pup's pedigree. You can even have DNA testing done on the pup. But what matters the most is if you love the pup or not! Who cares about pedigree and registry when it comes to a dog you love! I think you know if a pup captures your heart or not right away, so think with your heart!

The dog looks nothing like a Yorkie...not even a parti or a Biewer. If the 'pedigree' (which I'm guessing is APRI? ACA? something like that?) says it's a Yorkie, then I'd be willing to bet the information is fabricated. Anyone can have a pedigree for a dog that claims it to be a purebred...all they have to do is lie. :( :thumbdown

Anna is so cute! I can't say for sure, but she almost has a Maltese face. However, I don't know the breeder to say one way or the other. One thing that I can say for sure,though....that is one super cute baby! :)

Very cute puppy.
Is she healthy? If so, as long as you are not spending an over the top amount because of the white coat, I would still buy her knowing she may not be a yorkie.

Could it be a parti yorkie?
I've seen some with tan ears and white coats.

I agree - while that puppy is very cute - don't believe what you read or hear from people who say it's RARE or purebred - take it from those who really know their stuff -

there is one standard for yorkies and that little dog looks nothing like a yorkie puppy - There ARE color variations (such as chocolate) & you'll see ads for them calling them 'rare' with jacked up prices - but white isn't a color associated with yorkies -

I have to agree she does not look Yorkie to me. Do you have a recent picture of her? In a Valentine's cup that picture would be about 11+ months old.......

LOL !! Good eye - leave it to you to notice haha - I wanted to add that baby looks perfectly miserable in that cup - why do people DO that ?

well she's 200 pounds and so is her sister who looks like an ordinary yorkie lol i dont know what to think the breeder has said she's very healthy and is up to date with her jags and worming and she is kc registered too

$400 dollars US/200 pounds is what most scammers ask for.......

I agree, as long she is healthy and you are pleased with her, then that is all that matters.

As far as her being a parti....she doesn't look it to me. I will attach a couple pictures of my parti Yorkie for you to compare. Your baby looks really young so I use one of Livi's at 3 weeks and one at (almost) 6 weeks.

What is KC registered? I'm thinking maybe you left off a letter in the reg name? :confused: Even if her 'sister' looks like an ordinary Yorkie....it is possible to have a multi-sired litter...which means her sis, from the same litter could have a Yorkie dad, and this girl could have a Maltese dad, for example.
This just seems fishy and I would suggest you continue your search elsewhere. Is there a website or somewhere that you are seeing this dog?
Just out of curiosity, why do you have to have them by Christmas, which is 3 days away? I don't know of any REPUTABLE breeder who is going to hand over a dog to you in such a rush, for Christmas especially. I do know of alot of people who will screw you over though. Seems like a bad idea to try to rush and find what you can instead of taking your time to find the right dog.:(

AHA !! I didn't know what the conversion was for $$ and Janell is right - that screams SCAM !! Stay away from this deal please !! You'll end up sending money and will probably never see a puppy

I know alot of people do ask for less for non-predigree but both mine and my mum's Yorkie's were around £200 and they are both definately Yorkies. It seems to be about an average starting price for a Yorkie over here and I've noticed that crossbreeds are ALOT more... I'm talking £800 - £1500 because it's a Yorkie X.

My advice would be to slow down--take your time finding the right pups, the right breeder that you can feel completely comfortable with. (You are NOT going to find the perfect dogs in 3 days time....it's just not a realistic goal.) Never buy a dog that you are in doubt about. There are lots of owners and breeders here than can help you out with your search for the perfect little ones. :)

In that case I wouldn't get them. £200 seems the average price for a pedigree Yorkie over here in the UK but not with papers... they tend me to from £350 to £500 with papers and some are more because they are the so-called "fashionable" "Teacups".

If you go to the KC website it will give you a list of breeders for Yorkies and you should be able to see if they are a credited breeder with them. Failing that you can phone the KC and ask someone there... they are actually really helpful when you phone.

the site they are advertised at is vivastreet.co.uk and got to for sale then pets for sale and the ad is VERY HEALTHY WHITE TEACUP YORKIE PUPPIES FOR ANY GOOD HOME.

Kennel Club IS a registery... notice the OP is from Glasgow, which I'm guessing will be Glasgow, Scotland, UK... in which case we only have the Kennel Club over here.
