I know, I read your thread... lol... it just makes me smile that you were so adamant that you weren't keeping her and it lasted, hmmm, about day before you said she was staying! lol.

She's a cutie, whether she full chihuahua or a chihuahua mix. What's so great is that you rescued her and gave her a great home. Mixes deserve the best homes too. They are wonderful dogs. I wish more people would adopt or rescue one instead of supporting those that breed them

Yeah well....lol YOU come spend 24 hours with the little munchkin and see if you could give her up. :p Did you know that I had already lined up a home for her with another YTer and everything? I had to PM her and tell her I'd changed my mind. :( She was happy for that though so it worked out great!

LOL... no, I'd be trying to take her with me! lol :D I'm glad they were understanding about you keeping her.

Exactly. I don't think I would ever purchase a "designer breed". Not because I don't think they are cute or because I don't think they are great pets who deserve loving homes, I just choose not to support that particular industry.

I hope you find your puppies but please don't rush into it.
If you really want to give your mom a yorkie puppy for Christmas, why don't you put a picture of a yorkie or some toys or bowls in a box and let her help pick one out after the holidays?

I did look at the link for the site and she either breeds several breeds or it is a scam. There are alot of misspelled words and some of the wording reminds me of the puppy email scams I used to get.

Getting a puppy is a big deal so take your time to get the one you really want!

Good Luck and post pictures when you do get a puppy.

You need to read the other posts...no one has a problem with mixed breed dogs. They have a problem with those that intentionally breed them. Everyone is being an adult here. I haven't seen anyone being rude. Just stating their opinion and the facts

I'm in full agreement with Bamafan. Furthermore, I saw nothing in her post that could be called rude or disrespectful at all. She merely called a spade a spade.

If one purposefully washes a red shirt with white socks, they do NOT become 'designer' socks nor does their value increase!

How could she hit your button so easily?

no one is being rude. Again, no one has a problem with mixed breed dogs. We love ALL dogs here. But we do NOT support bad breeding..whether that be breeding mixes or breeding purebreds that don't meet the standard.

I'm not sure what part of my posts you found so offensive or "tacky and cheap and totally uncalled for or very rude"--I read the last line, first line and all those in between several times and still can't figure it out...sorry.
I have no problem with non-purebred dogs or any dog for that reason, but I don't understand why someone would pay as much money for one as I have seen being asked for them... I disagree w/ anyone purposely breeding these dogs just to make a profit off a current fad.

I'm sorry I see nothing "disrespectful" or "offensive" about Bamafan's post either. I even had my husband read it and he couldn't see what could have made you so angry either. :confused:

The only thing I could POSSIBLY see is that she used the term "mutt". I don't think she was being rude about it though. I call my babies "mutts" all the time. Sometimes I call them that lovingly, sometimes I call them that jokingly, and I've been known to call them that when I was ticked at them.

Sorry, I'm not trying to upset you (or anyone else) even more, I just honestly don't see what was so wrong with what she said.

Bad breeding is much higher in purebreds!
there is a way to say things with some grace!
all the liver shunts, ect on here- pure- or mutts????
but I just think, that i know, this is not a friendly place for me and Banjo!
He's my only kid- slam me- but not him!
the main thing is the mutt is loved, and he is healthy!
and what that lady said and how she said it is rude- plain and simple rude!
my mutt is a lot cuter than some of the pricey ones i have seen! I am glad i have him, glad the breeder bred her chih and yorkie, and took such good care of him, and sold me such a cute, health,happy MUTT!, at such a reasonable price!
and that lady was rude- no doubt about it- rude,rude, rude

mutt is not a derogatory term...mutt simply means a mixed breed dog. No one is slamming your dog. We love all dogs here. We do not approve of people breeding them on purpose. No one said your dog isn't cute or unhealthy. In fact, he is very cute.

Yes, there is a lot of bad breeding among purbreds. But breeding mixes intentionally is always bad breeding. Breeding mixes, breeding purebreds that don't meet the standard, and breeding unhealthy dogs are all bad breeding practices. Why buy from an unreputable breeder? Instead, buy from a reputable breeder or rescue one.

As for the term "mutt" I'm not going to apologize for that. (I actually find the term "mixed" to be more offensive, but I'm an adult, know that is not the way it's intended when used here and therefore make a big deal over it.) All my life I grew up thinking that any dog that wasn't purebred was a "mutt"--I've owned several "mutts" in my lifetime and loved each and everyone of them. A mutt is not any lesser dog than a pure bred, nor are all purebreds fault free and from better breeding--if anyone interpreted my posts as implying that, those are their words and feelings, not mine.:rolleyes: No sense in trying so hard to make something out of nothing.:)

Are you actually reading what anyone is saying? If so, I don't understand how you don't get what we're saying. What purpose is being served by being mixed breed dogs? I would like to know why you think it's okay
