Miss Mika now weighs 7.25 pounds
Would she be out of the breed standard at 7.25???
Just curious..I love every ounce and it doesn't really matter.

Since the standard says up to 7lbs, I'm assuming anything over 7.0 would be over standard. I don't think they normally weigh the show dogs though..but someone told me once that if there is doubt, they might get a scale out. Lacy's like 7.5lbs and I usually says she's just a little over standard

The one time you want to show, someone will come with a scale. Seen it happen, unfortunately not enough.

Educate yourself and buy from reputable breeders or rescue.
