| OMG - so glad you noticed and took action right away. How scary. That most likely means whatever shot she had, she should not have again. Make sure the vet records the severe reaction and do not let them talk you into giving it to her again!!!

| How much does Lexie weigh? Sunshine was only 1 1/2 lbs when we got her at 12 weeks and when she went in to finish her shots, the vet only gave her 1/2 a dose because she was so small. When she got her boosters last year (she is barely 5 lbs now) she had a reaction, so now she always gets Benadryl befor eher shots as well.

| Your dog is so lucky that you reacted immediately. How freakin' scary to be told that had you waited 30 minutes longer she would have been dead. It is thanks to you that she survived. |

| If you know what vaccination it was, it would be great if you post for all of us. I know that there have been many dogs allergic to lepto and would be very curious to know if that was in there... I am glad you caught it early and she is all better now. Give her kisses from our fur-babies BTW-I always have my vet give my fur-babies only 1/2 of the vaccination and have luckilly never had any reactions (cross my fingers)...I will always do it that way. They all weigh under 5 lbs.

| I am so glad you were with her and noticed there was a problem and got her back in time. I always wonder why they send you right out the door after the vaccinations even at our DR's they do that. I had an allergic reaction to the Tetanus shot which I have never had a problem before so just because they are fine with it one time doesn't mean that they will be fine next time. I was told to be very careful because if I ever have to have the Tetanus shot again it can be fatal. Scarey stuff these vaccines. Deana Prestigeous |

| vet If your vet isn't very familiar with yorkies he may have given lepto. Most vet I know don't even give this because it is famous for these types of reactions |

| How totally scary!!! Good thing you guys were around!! What if you would have been Christmas shopping or out to dinner, etc??? I am so happy she is going to be ok. Thanks for sharing---we all need to be aware that bad reactions to shots can happen. I didn't think about it before!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Glad she is ok. Dixie just had her Rabies shot on Monday and I asked about the reaction and she said if she were to have a severe reaction it would be before we got out the door, any other reaction would probably be within a few hours just to watch her. SHe was ok though.
