| I need to go home and visit my dad (I'm from GA) just so I can go to your groomer! I hope I have as much luck Friday! I've had a heck of a time finding someone! I hope you don't mind if I take pictures of your babies as examples.

| Britt- I am sooo glad that you like your new groomer! That is the most stressful thing finding someone that you trust with your babies!!! They look adorable and I totally agree about Miss Emmy! You can see her beautiful face even better now! I love that pic of her with Mia where she is sticking out her tongue!!!

| Both your babies look adorable! I have been debating giving Esme a cut. We live in Miami and it is getting SO HOT and I feel so bad for her.

| Thanks everyone! Actually Lily she did the whole thing with scissors! She said with the smaller ones that the blade leave a "choppy" look even when its even, and I know that it does because my old groomer used the 1.5" blade on Mia and it took some time to grow out and look normal. I couldn't believe she did such a good job with scissors though, I told her she should cut human hair! She did it so quickly but it turned out well. I called about 20 groomers (seriously not kidding) and told them I needed a groomer that wouldn't put anything around their necks, would let me stay the whole time, and would do them straight through because my girls have never sat in cages and weren't about to start. Most would do the straight-through thing on request, but a lot told me if they struggled they would have to restrain them OR they didn't allow owners back in the grooming area. I don't trust anyone that doesn't want us to see the facilities or watch them groom their dog, they must be doing something they dont want me to see! And Emmy and Mia did a lot better today when I assisted her in holding them and talked to them and made them feel relaxed, so the whole theory that the owners being there upsets the dogs more is bogus. This lady I was so lucky to have found, she just closed down her shop and only works on toy dogs now out of her home. She was wonderful! |
