| Thank you to all who replied.. I just spoke with the vet he told me to go and get puppy replacement milk.. Well While my hubby was out on a mission to go and get it.. THE PUPPY FINALLY TOOK TO THE NIPPLE.. I just got sooo nervous cause we already lost 2 of her babies.. which I am still completely devasted over... Thanks again to you all... |

| Good! keep watch on him and try to keep him awake to nurse. So glad to hear he is nursing now. Be sure to weigh him often to be sure he is gaining. |

| docking within 24 hours was was too much stress for new born pups! you need to get them hydrated...I would take them to the vet ASAP and have sub-q fuilds injected. Dehydration is the quickest way to lose another one... They need to be latched every two hours if not fed every two hours by bottle or syringe and kept warm, never feed a cold pup that can kill then too! best of luck

Take a look at Hannah's Story be told in the Breeder's section.....speaks about Sub-Qing the pup....with the recipe someone else posted in this thread.....if you can't get the pup to nurse...hydration maybe necessary to keep the pup going until it is strong enough to latch on....Syringe feeding as demonstrated in the thread mentioned is an excellent way to keep the pup strong.....Also, mentioned is fading puppy recipe....liver, and Nutridrops....this pup must be kept from getting chilled, and you must remember to give forumula at room temp.
