| Coby is crated during the day (he doesn't mind). But my older Shih Tzu has the run of the house. Of course, he doesn't get out of my bed until about 10:30 when he moves to the couch, where he stays until I come home for lunch to let Coby out to torment him. Then he dies in the chair where he remains until I get home again to let Coby out to torment him. Some day, Coby too, will get the run of the house (hopefully). But he's still too much puppy right now.

| Monday is older and more mellow, so she has free roam, but Friday is only 1 year old and I have seen her handiwork from the one time I let her have free roam, SHE is put in the porta crib for the 6 hours I am not home. However, at night, she has free roam and has been very good.

| I don't work. Max has free access to most of the house (minus the cat's room only b/c they're more difficult to keep tabs on when they get out and if Max is in there, he's eating all their food (and I don't even want to think about the litter box), so he's only allowed in there when I'm in there. When I go out somewhere it's sometimes for anywhere from 1-4 hours and I can honestly say I think he either sleeps most of the time or just hangs out in the bedroom in front of the tv which I always leave on for him. Thats's where he is when I leave and that's where he is when return and there's no evidence to suggest otherwise. He's really very very good, and I feel really lucky!

| I close off all bedroom and bathrooms by shutting doors, and then sawyer has free run. He usually sleeps while we are gone, and when we get back he will finally eat the treat he has been saving til we get home.

| Lacy has free run of the house when I leave her. It took me a long time though before I stopped crating her. I don't leave her more than 4-5 hours at a time though
