| ![]() Maddie and Libby are in the crate when I'm gone. I just feel they are safer in the crate.

| ![]() My two run free all the time. When I am getting my things ready to leave the house, they climb up on the back of the chair(big and cushy), curl up in their blankies and pretty much sleep till I return. At least, I've never come home to any disasters...........yet ![]()

Luv my 7 Furkids Donating Member | ![]() Mine used to be free, but since we got Toby Tyler, him and Dakota scrap sometimes, so when were gone, Toby Tyler and Shilo (they are the same age 1 1/2 yr), are blocked off in the kitchen, the rest run free. But now we have two litters. Sooooooooooo, oldest puppies have pen in living room and the living room is blocked off, the other litter and their mom are in a spare bedroom blocked off. Were pretty busy around here these days. Needless to say we have no Christmas tree this year. |

| ![]() We rarely leave SoCo alone as I work from home, so it's usually 15-60 minutes at most. He does have free roam during that time and while we sleep. We had to leave him alone a couple weeks ago for over 12 hours (family party that I couldn't back out of) but he was left with food, water, toys, pillow and newspaper in the kitchen, which we had gated off. If I return to working outside the home (don't see it happening) I'd evaluate him then to see what we'd do. As I don't see it happening until he's well out of the puppy stage, he'd most likely have free roam. Our previous 2 did with no serious problems. Of course, we closed off the bedroom, bathroom (Jager was a toilet paper runner/shredder - funny to find a whole roll of TP unravelled through the house till you have to clean it!) and kitty litter was off limits. |

| ![]() We have my two in our bedroom when we're gone. We have to keep them in here unless supervised else where because they'll terrorize the cats in the house. Smokey can't stay in a crate or be locked somewhere alone because he has anxiety and gets diaherria. He came from a puppy mill and I think that's why he's like that. Chip is a good baby and we trust him out of his crate.

| ![]() I've been crating Zoe but thinking about giving her free roam. Two things stop me. 1. I worry that she will do something like chew on an electrical cord or something dangerous. 2. I worry that she'll have an altercation with my other dog who is bigger. They really don't fight but you never know..... Maybe I'll start with just allowing her free roam in my bedroom with the door shut. But then she could get herself into trouble..... ![]() |

| ![]() I never leave mine to run free while I'm gone. I'm too scared they'll get bored and chew on wiring or something dangerous. I'm never gone that long at one time so I put mine in their crates...they don't seem to mind at all.
