You will see, it will happen exactly as I said. I know. I lost my little Tigger last year. The image of his death just about brought me to my knees. I could not even consider adopting another baby, the fear of losing one again was just too great. And then came my demented, wonderful, little Mango. Believe me, I checked her breeder out thoroughly, visited his house 3 times, met Mango's Sire and Dam, watched her develop and grow healthily for a month after I met her, before I was comfortable enough to bring her home with me for the first time. That way, I had the confidence of knowing she was a thriving, normally developing little puppy and it allowed me the peace of mind that I so needed, because I just knew I could not sustain another loss. Perhaps you should consider going this route when you are sufficiently healed - finding a local breeder whose litter you can watch carefully, so that you can adopt a baby with the same confidence I had with Mango.

Argh! I just put myself in your head. I know so much how you are feeling.... that image that you want to banish, but cannot yet. Just concentrate on your other furbutts, and the happy picture of what awaits you in the future.

I know that had to have been an aweful experience for you and I'm sure it is hard to get over. But I also know you really wanted a new baby so bad before this. I hope you're able to get over it and get that baby you wanted. I'm so sorry you had to go through that experience. I think you were just so anxious to get a new baby and excited you found someone that you didn't take your time to check the breeder out well, and unfortunately she turned out to be a bad one. I think I saw that you said yourself that you just didn't see all the signs until after. I think we can be blinded sometimes when we see something that we want to be perfect. I think that even though this was aweful that it probably taught you to be more careful next time around. I think you'll know to take it slower this time and research the breeder and ask lots of questions first. A good breeder will get sell you a healthy puppy and be there for any concerns you have. I hope you're able to get over this eventually. I know it's hard. I would love to see you get a baby girl

Give yourself some time to mourn. Do you have a contract with the breeder to replace her or give you your money back? I'd take the money and go to a more reputable breeder. There's nothing like the love of a pup.

In time you will heal and when you are ready you will find your new perfect baby to love and spoil. Please don't give up hope, your baby is out there waiting for you and when the time is right and your heart is healed you will be introduced to each other.

Yes, you will get over it,well not get over it but move on. Everyone who owns a pet has some horror story in their life(especially if you've owned a lot of animals in your lifetime). I had to return a puppy this year and I practically had a nervous breakdown. I actually scared my dad calling him and crying so much because he thought I was always such a happy person.

I still miss that puppy, you will always have a special place in your heart for the one that was sick. You'll never forget her. But you'll heal and when you bring home the baby that was "meant" to be yours you'll love her so much and realize things happen for a reason.
