| Max is probably itchy because of allergies, low zinc (because of his liver) or another liver related problem. Does his food have corn in it? This might be causing it. You can type in "pruritis" on the liver shunt group and you will get results or just ask this question over there. I know one person in particular there has dealt with the itchies. Can you ask your vet about switching to Denosyl that you buy online? It should be the same. How about emailing the company?

| The Denosyl that entirelypets.com sells is the same Many people use this one....Make sure you give this on an empty stomach, preferably in the morning, at least one hour before eating. If you don't give it on an empty stomach, it is as good as not giving the pill at all because it can't do it's job. You might want to try hepatosupport instead of just plain milk thistle since hepatosupport also contains vitamin b's. Many people have used this on their MVD dogs with great success. How is Max doing?? Is he having any seizures? lethargy?
