| HAHA same with me. I made my boys sleep in a crate for about 4 months and they cried every night for over an hour. So finally one night I draped a blanket over the crate and put a softly ticking clock in there with them and never heard a peep from them again. The clock and blanket over the crate worked wonders.. no need to scare the poor things who, if they are crying so badly, are already distressed!! GGEEZZZZ

| I heard that what you can do is bang on the wall on the other side of the room or squirt them with a water bottle, without them seeing you. That's still pretty sad. I tried to do that with my kitty cat so she wouldn't keep scratching at the door trying to come in (the water thing) but then I just decided to let her upstairs. I gave in...so now she sleeps with me, but right she sleeps with my sisters, since I'm in another country. But hopefully I will be home next Friday. Yahhhh! |

| That's just sickening. Train your dog by scaring him and beating him...wow Whose all sending messages to this person? I think I want too!

| The way I taught Lacy not to whine in her crate was to bang on the top of it when she would start whining. I just banged the top of it with my hand though...it made a loud noise that she didn't like so she would stop crying. She quickly learned to be quiet in her crate. Banging on the top of the crate does NOT hurt them and isn't any different than using a can with coins in it to make a noise. I do NOT think it is necessary to use a heavy object to bang the top of a crate though...and definitely wrong to use a flyswatter to hit a dog

| Honestly, my first reaction was to laugh! Really, who in their right mind would even think of such a thing, except to get your goat. Do you think they actually ment it? |

| OK, how many of us are contacting that breeder. I can't imagine the terror a poor little puppy would feel if his crate were hammered. God help the ones that have had to go through that already! |
