Donating YT 11K Club Member | Teddy loves to jump! He jumps everywhere, off and on my bed several times a day and night. He jumps up and off the couch, when ppl come he jumps up and down from excitement. I don't want it to affect his knees in the future. I don't know if he'll use pet stairs

| Its definitely an issue to get under control now, worst case scenario he will end up like Zippy with crushed discs in his back as a result from jumping too much.

| Oh my, I don't let Bella jump off anything cause of worry that she will land wrong and break something. I never thought of the bigger small dogs that can jump up onto stuff having it cause trouble later on. Oh dear more worries.. guess I'll have to have pet steps all over the place

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | Oh geez, he sounds just like Stedman! I tell you, little Steddy flys around this house like a bolt of lightning! People just freak out at the way he flys from here to there - he is not scared to jump off ANYTHING. Which is why I have always called him my little acrobat And Stedman too jumps off the bed in the middle of the night I hate that by the way....lol. Tatum on the other hand is scared of everything lol. P.S. - I tried the doggie stairs with Stedman, and the big dork just fell right off them I don't know why he could never get the hang of those things, it was so weird lol.

| Teddi jumps on and off the couch and the chairs but my bed is WAY too tall. I stack all the pillows I don't use on the side of the bed and make a kind of stair case for her to go up and down at nite. She always goes down at some point in the night to poop on her pad and then comes right back up.

| LilyGrace jumps everywhere and off anything.......Mojo on the other hand, won't even attempt it, unless it is by accident!!! Mojo has stairs that Lily only seldom uses.......I think Yorkies are natural jumpers....they just don't know they shouldn't be doing it!

| Zippy used to be the constant jumper, someone walks through the door - jump, food time - jump, etc. he could jump high too, almost up to your face. Then one day when he was about 7 or 8, I think jumping for dinner he crushed his disc. My sister got the surgery at Manhattan Animal Hospital, the doctors said he will allways have a limp. He is 15 now and on pain meds, but when its humid the meds don't help. So now with Chip I'm trying to keep his jumping to a minimum. Since your furbutts are littln's you also have to be concerned about breaking bones if they land incorrectly.
