| I'm a little bothered by some of the posts, too... in particular one made by BelwoBelwo: Quote:
On the issue of him being upset, my bf was incredibly angry at me for bringing a pet rat home after I rescued him from a pet store. (Angry at me, not the rat - he didn't take it out on the rat at all.) It took him about 24 hours before he was smitten. Men sometimes just have to take a stand on these things to cement their position in the household. I commend you for rescuing this pup and also for the idea of giving it to your relative. We all know you can't save every one, but for every one you save it not only makes you feel great but you've also saved a life of something that cannot fend for itself. Regarding the other two, I'm sorry to say this but if it was I who was selling Turtle and Duck I'd let you pay off the cost over a month or two or three. Forgive me if I'm out of line by saying this, I don't know the exact circumstances or if the seller needs money, but saving the life of a mis-treated Yorkie shows that addicted is truly a dog lover and I would do anything to help the two dogs that I was selling go to a woman who has shown she'll do anything for them. If it were me in that situation I'd do that, I'm not saying that the owner of Turtle and Duck is in the position to do so as I haven't read the thread... | |

| I'm glad that you took that poor little "Man' out of those surroundings, and I wish you the best of luck with him. That being said. If I were the person that you were going to buy the other two from, I might be upset, but I would no longer sell them to you even if you wanted them. You took on a huge responsibility by taking this other dog, that might require a lot of expensive health care, not to mention the drain on your time and emotions. Taking on a dog like that can be very trying, they may have some serious health issues, not to mention behavior problem. Therefore I would feel that your situation has changed and I would not feel comfortable with your ability to give my babies the care, time and attention that I would want them to have. |

| Well, I just got off the phone with Lee and Joanne. We both are confused right now. I feel TERRIBLE! I know they were upset, but didn't want to show it.
