It was incredibly presumptuous of that teller. But if it were me, I wouldn't tell her boss or anything. Knowing my luck, their answer to the problem would be to simply disallow dogs in the bank.

Children can be really rough to! they will ask to 'stroke' her but they usually 'pat' ( more like bang her!) quite hard on her little head! Pixie must think she is being hit! all i can do is say 'GENTLY PLEASE! while the parents just stand there saying nothing!

If a person seems sincerely interested in my dog and looks clean and normal, I quite often let them hold Kalina if they ask. I think the socialization is GREAT for Kalina and it gives us all around warm-fuzzies. I think if it upsets you than you are right to not allow it, but I don't mind it a bit if the person seems sincere. JMHO

I completely agree, it's great socialization for them and I love to take him out with me. I usually let people hold him if they seem friendly and they ask me nicely. The problem I had with this teller, was that she leaned over and grabbed him without asking my permission, and then even after seeing that I backed away and wasn't handing him over, she still went for it
