I have been taking my yorkie to this groomer since he was a baby and we always had this one lady that did all his grooming needs and she did FANTASTIC. i took him to get groomed today and when i picked him up i was mortified!

she completely shaved his ears and it looked like she did not even trim his body. his face and hinney looked good but, nothing else was touched besides his ears were bare! i said something and come to find out it was not the normal woman she had quit a week ago and she has another woman in there that has "BEEN DOING IT FOR YEARS!" i'm so unhappy and really do not want to take him somewhere else. finally down to my question! are there and good DVD's or books on step by step yorkie grooming? i would much rather do it myself i did my pomeranian when i had him but, those are 2 different coat types! ANY SUGGESTIONS? please help me LOL!

Doesn't it drive you crazy when you ask them for one thing, and they do another? I hope you can find some good videos.

Awww, we have another Tator here!? Is yours named Tate? I like it!

But yes, I hate the thought of groomers. I used one for Tatum a few times that I really loved. She did exactly what I wanted. She had lots of experience with Yorkies though since she had several herself. Now though I hear she's not there anymore (this one came to my vet's office twice a week from out of town) and so I'm afraid to go to the new lady.
