| What is WRONG with people???? We ran to the little neighborhood grocery store today to get milk. I took Susanah with me because she loves to greet everyone coming and going. I stood outside with her while Mike ran in. This mother with 3 kids came walking up and one of the kids, a little boy who looked like he was 5 maybe 6 said, "That dog is stupid looking, I ought to kick its face in!" The mother just said, "Shup up and get your @ss in here!" I don't which one shocked me more. I just don't understand. There is just no excuse for bad manners or cussing at little kids.

| Children learn from what they hear and see, so you can imagine what his mother's like.

| That's what Mike said. At first I was angry at the kid, but after hearing his mother I felt sorry for him.

| Some people are just plain ignorant and they pass it on through their gene pool! Guess that woman did not have much of anything in the way of "good" genes to pass along!

| Parents now a days think is ok for kids to say rude things to others It really isn't the kids fault is his mother's for not correcting the beheavior This is why our children are at risk at school because of people like this that dont know how to educate their children and teach them RESPECT FOR ALL LIVING THINGS AND MORAL VALUES When I was little my mother always told me that all living things are alive and should be treated with love especially animals.........I teach my kids the same things I even sing and talk to my houseplants That is why I dont allow my children to say: Stupid, dumb, hate, or any words that are hurtful I always tell me to use other words instead Sorry is so long but it makes me so mad that some people just are lazy and find the easy way out on raising kids

I completely agree! I try to teach my kids the exact same things. I would be shocked and appalled if one of my children said something like that. I can not imagine ever speaking to my kids that way!
