| To begin with, do not feed her in the kitchen or off your plate. Tell her "no". You could cage her when she does it, tell her no, put her in the cage. After you are through eating, you might give her a little scrap in her cage before you let her out.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I don't have advise -but I can tell she loves you Mine are just like that but I actually don't mind...in fact ..I love it... I guess if you're worried about stepping on her or anything - a baby gate up may help ? We use one for the front door when someone comes over - I keep it close to the door and jut pull it across the foyer.... |

| Petie does a little dance and makes a gremlin noise, if you ignore him he starts spinning circles and barks until you look at him. I love it, but I don't give in as he has kidney problems from the previous owners feeding him junk. Sonja |

| Lexy is like a child. If a child throws a tantrum do you give in? NO! You say "NO" and stand by it. You have set rules or she will be have behaviors you do not want. I know it is cute but it may not be cute later on. Just think. I'm sorry if it sounds mean but it really depend on you. Remember, your the boss not her! Good luck! |

| I never feed my girls from my plate or when I am cooking. If I have a special something (like chicken) that I want to feed them, I deliberately take them in another room & sit down with them to feed them. It bugs the heck out of me to try & eat with them begging at your feet. I can sit down anytime of day to eat & they look at me, but eventually just sit down at my feet or close by. Now my husband - well that's a different story, but that's his problem because he just can't go without giving them something. If they come towards me, I just look at them & say "no" & they don't bother me at all. You just can't give in - even when I am tempted, I put it aside & feed them after I am thru & they never know it came off of MY plate. Our older Yorkie used to be so bad with my son (because he ALWAYS fed her), she would scratch constantly on his leg - but she NEVER bothered me ! DONT GIVE IN - if that is what YOU want! |
