I think our vet is $13 a day.

We pay $15 per day to board our mixed breed 5 year old. For my yorkie - when we went on vacation, his breeder boarded him (my yorkie that is) for us (and my mixed dog was at the local boarders). When I first called and asked the breeder if she would keep him she said grooming and boarding were free as a perk for purchasing from her. She didn't tell me at the time of purchase because she is 4 hours away and didn't think that service would be needed by us. She also offered to take him to the vet and have him neutered for us while we were on our vacation (it didn't happen because he didn't eat for the 1st two days he was with her and she was concerned about his health - she actually gave him baby food to get him to eat so he did actually eat just not the food I had sent). His breeder has a web page that says $7 per day (I'm guessing for puppies she didn't sell)....so when we picked my yorkie up I paid her $10 per day even though she said there would be no charge. I now know that I will never board my yorkie given that he probably wouldn't eat while I was away. Now he goes with us or we will be traveling 4 hours out of our way to take him to his breeder.
