| Gee I don't know but once a product, IMO, does harm to a pet I would no longer, no matter what they said, trust it. I have never purchased the product myself but have heard some really bad stories about them. |

| I agree~ I was just thrown off a bit I was actually startled when I received it, I didn't even read the entire email, I just read what others have said and I won't even try it...I think everyone is going to be scrambling to reformulate their products after the recalls...

| Greenies have been reformulated to be easier to digest. If you remember the "old" greenies were hard like plastic. You couldn't even bend them. Now they are easier to digest and much much softer. If you didn't know, Mars Inc. purchased greenies just over a year ago. Mars had greenies reformulated to prevent the problems greenies caused in the past. Oh and Mars owns many pet foods including Pedigree, Nutro, Royal Canin, Sheeba, Wiskas. They also own the company that manufactures many of the "store" brand dog foods you find in grocery stories. We feed our yorkies greenies (have been since the reformulation) and we haven't had a problem.

Someone here (sorry, I forget who) had her dog almost die on the new formula. Her vet said the new ones are only something like 3% more digestable. I'm with Archie- they knew dogs were dying and kept selling them. I would never trust them after that.

| Hi! Greenies are not very digestable and many dogs were getting lethal blockages.

To each their own. We haven't had problems but maybe others have. As for the company kept selling them even though they were causing problems. Thats not really true. When Mars bought the company, they pulled the greenies off the shelf until they could reformulate the product. So "they" didn't continue to sell them with the issues. The "old" company was selling them which stopped as soon as they were bought out.

| I feed Layla greenies, she loves them, she is restricted to only one a day. Chase would love to have one but they recommend that the pet be at least 6 months old before feeding greenies. I haven't noticed any problems with Layla due to eating greenies. |

BTW, Greenies is the one who said they were phasing them out- if it's not true, well I just can't imagine why they would say that.
