To each their own. We haven't had problems but maybe others have. As for the company kept selling them even though they were causing problems. Thats not really true.
When Mars bought the company, they pulled the greenies off the shelf until they could reformulate the product. So "they" didn't continue to sell them with the issues. The "old" company was selling them which stopped as soon as they were bought out.
