| What do you think.... My aunt and a few others are constantly telling me Nala isn't a Yokie, that she's a Silky. Personally I don't care if she half elephant and half racoon I love her just the same. It just that it's really getting on my nerves. Almost like that just want to prove me wrong. It's not going to hurt my feelings either way. Nala is 10lbs and yes a "big" yorkie and yes she is a little long but I know there's many other members on here that have yorkies of all shapes, sizes and colors. Nala parents are CKC and I have the papers from with their names and registration on it. I never saw the parents b/c she was a surprise present from by boyfriend so I didn't go with him to pick her up. A friend of mine bought her brother and no one questions him I guess because he is within the standard 7-8lbs. Here are acouple of pictures of Nala will you tell me what you think? If you think she is Silky I promise it will not hurt my feelings. She has been to the vet and a groomer that has been in the "dog business" for over 20 years and she has never question her breed. |

| I think she is wonderful too, just as you say. I am no expert at all but I think she really resembles Schatzie and she's a Yorkie. I understand your frustration of being filled with everyone's opinion when you are not asking for it. Just ignore them and give Nala hugs and kisses. Oh, and Schatzie is big/long also. She is 8 lbs.

| She looks like a yorkie to me!! Of course, I'm no expert. I'm sure the more experienced breeders here will give you a better idea. By the way, I think it is incredibly rude for anyone to tell you what your dog is or isn't! Your aunt and those other people need to mind their own business! I've had people tell me their dog is this or that or their cat is this or that when it is obviously a cross/mix, but I would never tell them otherwise and I certainly wouldn't tell someone their purebread yorkie is really a silky. The nerve of some people!

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | half the yorkies on this site could be accused of being silkies. nala is beautiful. lol to, "i wouldn't care if she was half racoon and half elephant." thats funny. just ignore them. you love her and she loves you and thats all that matters!

| I think the reason most people say that and I use to be quilty of it too is b/c Nala itsn't the size of a mouse! Schatzie, I personally think Nala and Schatzie look alot alike. I agree it's very rude for someone to say "Well she's too big she can't be a yorkie". |

| I think she looks all yorkie..people are funny...I know Maximus is all yorkie (according to pedigree tree)..but for some reason I have had 4 or 5 random people in the street ask if he was a silkie..even though he looks like a yorkie to me..I was starting to get suspicious too!!!!

| She looks like a beautiful Yorkie princess to me! It's wrong for someone to say that "she's too big to me a Yorkie." I've seen some Yorkie closed to 15 lbs before and they are just a beautiful as a 3 lbs Yorkie!!

| She looks like a Yorkie to me and she is just beautiful. I know how you feel. The first reaction I get from people when they see Sophie is OMG she's big. I know she is big but what about how cute and sweet she is. She is a 10 pounder. Some people can be so rude. |

| I know how you feel...Even if she might look like a silky, doesn't mean she is a silky...You've obviously got her papers that say she's a yorkie. She's just a slightly bigger yorkie, that's all, and I think she's adorable!! My yorkie is also bigger...He is about 9 lbs!! |

| Looks like a yorkie to me! Our girl is also larger than average - 10 pounds - but extremely healthy, which is the most important thing! |
