One of the most important things I have learned about yorkies is that they all look so different! They aren't the same - just like us people! I use to think they were all pretty much alike, about the same size and structure, but since coming to YT I have found that although there is a 'standard', most yorkies don't fit it! If, in your heart, you have a yorkie - then you have a yorkie, simple as that. Next time someone says your baby doesn't look like a yorkie tell them they don't look like a human either but you love them just the same!

She looks like a Yorkie to me. I have to explain to people all the time that bigger yorkies are normal. I was told that Asia will likely get to be 8lbs and I saw how big her mother is. I think she will get to 10lbs. I love her anyway. I was at Petsmart on Sunday and the people behind me had a 15 week yorkie that was the same size as Asia at that age. I think the lady was a little distressed when she saw that Asia was already 6lbs at 5 months. I hope she is not to upset if her baby turns out to to be bigger than she planed. If she is, I'll be glad to take it off her hands.

I am not sure, sorry I can't help you...but Nala is beautiful and looks Yorkish from my point of view!! Don't worry about anyone else, as long as you love her that is all that matters, the bigger the better!!! Poo on everyone else....lol...

When people ask if she is a Yorkie..tell them she is not 100% Yorkie, she is 200% Yorkie..Nala is just oversized and a bit more terrier in type, a perfect combination for Nala.

Nala is beautiful . She is a yorkie . She have the same adorable face as Betty Lou ( the Yorkie of my friend ) . Your aunt would have something to bla bla bla about because lol... Betty Lou is 7 pounds and her color is silver and gold

All of you are soo sweet. I didn't care before if she was or wasn't a purebred yorkie but now I really don't because you guys got me past being annoyed and helped me to see what's most important; she's my baby and I love her and that's all that matters!!!

Vainchick5 - That's funny even though Coco isn't a boy Nala will still share her toys with her, lol. We better keep a close eye on them.

Sophiedog - That's a great way to look at things, I think I just might say that next time someone says she doesn't look like a yorkie.

Suzysmitt - The only reason Nala's hair looks so good is b/c I had just picked her up from the groomers lol most of the time Nala looks like she has a sever case of the dreaded "BEDHEAD" Her coat is exremely rough/cottony.
