| patterns for puppy pj's? and other pup clothes so, i dont know if my maternal instincs are kicking in now that i have a little "baby" to take care of, but i have decided that i am going to make some clothes for Dexter! ive made a couple sock sweaters for him, but now i really really want to make him a pair of pj's and some "hip" shirts and sweaters. does anyone have any simple patterns they are willing to share, or know of any website that might have/sell patterns for small dogs. im just looking for basic patterns for now since i am new to this whole sewing thing...(my fiance bought me a sewing machine and the first night i got it so stuck i almost threw it out the window! i made a scarf for dexter that looks like a 2 year old made it but im getting the hang of it quickly. lol) any ideas, tips or information is greatly appreciated! |

| Well, unfortunately I only know of one site that has a free pattern or two. www.sewing.circleofcrafters.com. I started there when making my first item for Meka. You can also go to walmart or a fabric store and they have patterns for dog clothes you can buy. Other than that, I've kinda created patterns just from visual... Hope this helps

| I've purchased a bunch of sewing patterns from Fabricland. They had a sale on Simplicity patterns, they were all $1.99! The lady that was helping me was really nice...I was about to buy all these patterns at the regular price (around $5-$7), but then she told me there was going to be a sale on them the following week, so I came back and got them then. I really need to start sewing soon...but I haven't done it in so long, I'm afraid I might forget how lol. |

im guessing that i will eventually be able to create patterns just from visual, but would like a simple pattern or two to try out. im a fairly creative person (im a painter and do part time photography) so think i'll be able to pick it up quickly. i'll post the results when i figure it all out! | |

| I have a bunch of patterns for Bella I did get some off the internet as well just google dog patterns. Simplicity 3939. Is the pj pattern I use. Len Mills is a great place for fabric, we just got a len Mills in Barrie so happy. I also use this pattern to make a jump suit for winter it keeps snow off there legs. I line it with flannel and then put there coat over that it's like dressing a kid for winter play the only difference is you don't have to undress them to pee LOL Hope that helps |
