| Gracie won't eat much...any recommendations??? Hallee had surgery on Thursday for torn ACL. We took Gracie with us because we had to stay over night since the specialist was not local. We have been fighting her to eat since then. The only thing we can now get her to eat is warm boiled chicken breast and it has to be warm. I tried her regular food with some chicken that she loves, but she just turned her nose up at it. I tried some of her food with carrot baby food and nothing. She would also eat this before. I tried chicken with rice and nadda. She won't eat her hard food either. Just warm chicken only. We think she maybe going through some kind of emotional thing due to Hallee having surgery. Hallee is crated because we have to keep her from running around ect so she does not cause any damange to the work that was just done. Gracie does not have her to sleep with or play with. I am not really sure what to do to get her to eat more????????

So I would give her a mixture of boiled chicken with some Karo and Missing Link and on a good day, she'd gobble it right down. Not the best thing for a forever diet I suppose, but to get her through, it worked wonders! Many blessings to you and your girls and lots of kisses to them both!!

| Personally I'm of the belief that when a dog is hungry enough, he'll eat. By instinct a dog will not let itself starve to death when there is food available. That being said, you should definitely try different options and attempt to get her back on a healthy eating schedule. Just don't worry too much, she won't starve. |

It's best to give them WHATEVER they will take - (provided it has some nutritional content - and supplement if you have to) - than nothing at all....

| I have to agree. When they are this small, to let them go a day without eating is not a good thing. They need the food and the moisture.

| I went to the store and got some frozen green beans and cooked those for her. I chopped them up with her chicken and the little stinker would only eat it out of my hand. She is being a stubborn one.

| Thank goodness she did eat a little something. Maybe she likes all the attention she is getting
