In most cases, I would agree.... and depending on her size, maybe that would be an option.... but with some of these kids, they are just TOO SMALL to try that "wait and see" approach... because if they don't eat in a matter of hours, they can suffer greatly...... they may not starve... but they can certainly die from a hypoglycemic episode. (JMO)

It's best to give them WHATEVER they will take - (provided it has some nutritional content - and supplement if you have to) - than nothing at all....
