| Ok,how is it that someone who needs donations, who lives on disablity payments able to go out and buy another yorkie with a asking price of 1600.00 plus shipping fees. Go shopping, have upteen new dog clothes to sell, vet bills. Your business to bring another dog in when Natalie was already sick. Maybe this is getting to personal, but these are some of the things that I consider when asking myself do I need to help here. I can't even afford to have those things and my husband makes really decent money, and our kids are all grown and on their own. Maybe the cost of living is different in OK. |

| Where do you get all this stuff to sell? You bought a new yorkie when you knew you had a sick one at home already.Didnt you stop to think you will be needing money for her vet bill? You have 5 or so dogs already at home, plus a few children and no job......that is why people are starting to wonder????You are a new member and already trying to get financial help..Hope that wasnt the only reason you joined yt. I hope nat gets well soon.

Most of us are complete strangers and it is normal to get a little leary when someone asks for money.

| First of all, I'm very, very happy to hear of Natalie's improvements. Yayyy for little Nat!! Whenever one is in a dire situation, and posts not only medical details, but also costs involved, it usually means that person could use help financially. What I ask of you is, please, please be honest with us. We truly want to help, but many of us may be chosing to help Natalie over paying a bill, or perhaps helping a pet stay alive in a 'kill' shelter. Do you truly need financial help with this? I understand that you are selling mixed breed pups..is that a form of income for you both, in that home? Is it just more that you're waiting for this sale, and you'll be okay? If I asked you for proof of Nat's expenses, could you provide that? Or perhaps sending our donations directly to the institute where the bill is owed is also an option? NONE of this is meant to offend. Please don't take it that way. I appreciate the more experienced posters views, as I am a newbie myself. Thank you,

We have received 195.00 to our paypal account dedicated to Natalie's treatment.... and YES, every penny of that will go towards her visit with Dr. Brunker at the Oklahoma State University Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital in Stillwater, Oklahoma on Tuesday morning, the 13th of November at 10:00 am. I have to pick up her chest X-ray from Dr. Housted at the Southside Dog, Cat & Bird Clinic in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in just a little while and will be happy to post it here for everyone's viewing. Let me just say this.... not directed to anyone in particular..... I am not a poor, pathetic, welfare mom living on pork n' beans and rice..... we have a decent home, half-decent vehicle and sufficient income to adequately support our needs for the most part. We are by no means "wealthy" but we are "above the poverty level" as far as income goes. Sure things are tight sometimes and the ends don't always meet.... especially since we were in a car accident back in March and my room mate has not been able to work a single day since. But it doesn't matter who you are, or what your financial status is.... unless you are some kind of millionare (which I doubt most of us are) - - - - a hit like a serious health condition, whether it be with you, your family member, or your PET - - will ALWAYS be cause for financial strain. I didn't come to YT in search of ANYTHING but a genuine fellowship and comradery among folks in love with the Yorkie breed and those little angels we adore........... since I've been here though, yes.... Natalie was diagnosed with a serious condition and I did indeed feel comfortable enough with many of the people here who have become such a source of information and overall compassion - to ask if some sort of "fundraiser" could be initiated in order to help our little girl through what I'm certain will be, the toughest time of her short life thus far. I think many people here are almost as in love with little Natalie as we are.... she is such a sign of strength and endurance - you just can't help but stand in awe at her sweet spirit. <<sigh>> Anyway... what's my point... where was I going with this.... ugh... I don't know....... but there you have it... I need to run.... vet closes at 3 on saturday.

I do not want you to think I am being judgmental, just hoping you can find it easier to understand some people's skepticism ... we all have minor financial setbacks and do not come running to a internet forum .... try to stay calm, your baby needs you.

| Natalie is going to get the best of care regardless, right? I just want to contrast it with pups that are in a shelter situations where the only way they would get medical treatment is through donations. Or where there is a "welfare mom living on pork n' beans and rice", whose furbaby wouldn't get care unless some financial miracle took place. Those things are not the case, correct? Please bear with me, what I'm doing is sorting in my own mind how far I can go to help Natalie. If Natalie is going to get the best of care, then in reality, my decision to help is to help you. Because Nat is going to be totally cared for regardless. She won't suffer for someone not donating, right? I do like to help pets in need, but I have to sort through and prioritize, that's all. You have my utmost respect for all your diligent caregiving for this tiny furchild. You're a great Mommy!

| I guess ultimately everyone has to decide for themselves if they would like to donate their money to this person. I choose to go with my gut feeling and make my decision based on what I have read here and what was found on that all so needed "google" search engine. I just feel that things don't add up, and still don't for that matter. I never meant to hurt anyones feelings and hope I didn't. If Natalie is sick I do hope she gets better! The money that is donated, I hope goes to her vetting. There are just too many red flags with this situation and Im hoping you realize that it was not meant to attack you but to find out if everything is truly the way you make it seem. I don't understand how you have enough money to buy a new dog less than 2 weeks ago but do not have money to care for a puppy you knew had medical conditions. It doesn't make any sense to me but I guess thats my problem. I see you selling items that are priced way more than original price, then you come on and ask for donations and I found that Odd because most people on YT will do the opposite of that, they would refuse money rather than ask for it. Ok Im babbling now so I will be quiet, I just hope that you were honest with it all.

| I'm also VERY happy to hear that Nat is doing so much better and hope that continues to be the case. We all wish you pup a excellent recovery and many years of happiness. I will also add that I am sure there are many of us who were very interested in adding Gracie to our families as well. Financially many people couldn't. It seems like you would have plenty of money to take care of Natalie's expenses without donations if you hadn't just spent well over $1,400 on adding a new dog to a multi-dog household. You already knew Natalie was ill before doing that. I think that makes it hard for people to donate when they know you just spent a large amount of money on something that is not a necessity and then ask for help with vet bills. I too am very generous as I think most members here are. I think especially this time of year people are willing to give to help others in need. In fact I like to give time as well as money and volunteer to help animals in need. I will continue to pray for Natalie and hope that she continues to get better. It is so obvious how much you adore her and want the best for her. T |

| I think everyone should be cautious. I have to admit it did bother me a bit that she asked admin to start a "Natalie Fund". No matter how you feel about it, please use caution.

| Here's the part that didn't sit well with me personally: > YT could announce that, throughout the year - 1.00 of every regular YT > site support donation will go towards the ...... (oh I don't know... you > could call it the "Friends Of Natalie Fund", Just seemed a bit presumptuous for a new member. ETA- It was post 52
