Glad to hear it! It is normal for pups to be lathargic and not move allot after being fixed. It is a major surgery so that is understandable. It took bella about a day and a half to get her regular atitude back but we just took it easy for about 2 weeks and she is just fine.

Again I am happy that she is better!

Venus was back to her old self the next day....minus the jumping on stuff.

Keep a watch and make SURE it doesn't get infected from licking! If they lick, it will get infected.

Any sign of redness can be infection. Call vet if you see any redness around the sutures, they can give you an antibiodic.

What you described about the day she came home....thats exactly how my 2 both acted. A day of rest after surgery.

Oh my goodness Dina, I only just found your thread now from your link. I had been checking on the pre-spay page for updates. This must have been so upsetting for you, watching Paisley, you poor thing! I am so glad she is doing better today. How is her appetite now? There was one thing that has always worked for me when my babies have lost their appetite - Gerber's Graduates little sausages (not the Turkey). I know Paisley had teeth removed, so if she cannot chew them, perhaps you could mash it. Honestly, when all else fails, my dogs will eat this when they are not well and turn away from all food.
Your pictures of Paisley's siblings, trying to comfort her, just about broke my heart; just too precious for words.
