| ![]() Hi welcome to yt, I know you love your furbaby regardless of size. Rocke is 6 months old @ five pounds. My daughter says he is big, but he is not really. I think its really better when they have size on them; because if the little ones ever get sick and lose weight you do not want them too small. |

| ![]() Ha! That's nothin'! My little Jackson is 12 1/2 weeks old and already weighs 4 lbs.! He still has ALOT of growing left to do! lol 7 lbs. is still within the standard, but even if your baby gets bigger than that, what does it matter unless you're planning on breeding? My other yorkie is 4.4 lbs. full grown, and he is VERY tiny. Although he is very healthy, he has always seemed somewhat fragile to me (even tho he's not). Jackson, on the other hand, is STRONG! Nothing even remotely fragile about him! lol Size is very unimportant to me because I am not breeding them or showing them, they're my babies. They are healthy, and that's what matters to me. ![]()

| ![]() A 7 lbs. dog is still a VERY small dog and is quite easy to pick up, actually. They can still be a lap dog.

| ![]() You're misunderstanding me! My first yorkie is 14 lbs. Sheila wrote she has one 14 lbs. also! Yeah, 7 lbs would be like lifting a feather, 14 lbs is NOT easy to pick up |

| ![]() My 10 lb shih tzu is also a lap dog, and she's not that hard to pick up, but, you go lifting on a 14 pound dog with one arm, and it not being the best arm in the world, it's kind of hard! |

If I am ever lucky enough to own another Yorkie I will be looking for one that will be big and healthy! And I know that breeding makes all the difference in the world.
