Oh Miss Kelly !! i'm s0o0o0o sowie that this happen to you !! Luckily you had your garner there to help ya !! i have those same kind of treats & i actuallie cut those in half and use them as a treats for them when they go potty outside...

Thanks EVERYONE for such kind thoughts for my sweet Kalina. I wanted to give you an update. I called the manufacturer and they told me the woman who handles such things was out and would be in in a few days and they would leave my name and number and tell them my dog choked on the treat.

I told them "No, no, she didn't just choke, she passed out and would have died if it hadn't been for my fumbling attempts to help her." I told them that her eyes rolled up in her head and she couldn't breathe. I told them the whole story and was emphatic that they take it seriously, not just brush it off. The woman "in charge" is supposed to call me when she gets back to work in a few days. The experience was so horrible that I have made it my goal to get these things labeled as dangerous for small dogs, at the very least.

Sookie, what a living nightmare! I'm so happy your baby is OK now! Your sharing this with us will make us all more cautious. At least it will me. Have you thought about creating a petition against this treat? I'd sure be willing to sign it. Give Kalina a hug from Noah.

OMG!! I just found this thread!! Oh poor Kalina and poor you! What a shocking ordeal. Thank G_d for your quick thinking; you saved your baby's life and how wonderful that the man who helped, was there at that exact time. All I can say is WOW! and thanks for the warning! I swear, with all these scares, the only treat my babies get, is good old Honey Nut Cheerios. They absolutely love them, and with that hole in the center, there is very, very little chance of choking.

OMGOSH !!!!That is really scarry !!!! Good thinking on your part. I donno if I could have stayed that calm. God must have been looking down on you and your pup, thanks heavens. I am so glad everything worked out okay for you and your fur baby who btw looks like a doll!

I can't even begin to imagine how you felt when she fell over w/her eyes rolled back!! I would've probably lost my mind!! OMG!

I'm so glad Kalina's alright now...This def has to be reported to the manufacturers and they need to market it to the right size dogs/take off the market. I mean, treats???!!,,when will we be able to buy stuff for our babies and not have to worry about the 'lead' [in toys], treats that dont "dissolve", etc...

Good for you! I thought I saw that someone else almost lost a baby because of these same treats.

If those are the treats that come in the big plastic jar with the yellow lid, I went through an entire big jar of them before getting to the bottom and finding it coated with dead bugs.

Never again.

no they come in a bag! You can tell they are really big and should be broken down! Im so sorry this happened to kalina and you! I hope they at least put up some kind of warnings! IM VERY HAPPY KALINA IS OKAY!! YOU DID GREAT!
