| barking Hi My male Zeus is barking nonstop when he sees another dog on our complex property or out anywhere for a walk. i know that he is probably being protective and maybe some fear there as well. We met another yorkie and i am sure that he may have got a little aggressive if i had of let him down. Zeus loves people and is wonderful with our grandchildren. i have started him at a doggie daycare one day a week but will not leave him there if there are large dogs that i don,t like the interaction. does anyone have any suggestions as to how i can get him to stop acting this way on walks. He doesn,t bark like this at the daycare but he sure thinks he owns the complex and any street and of course me. I love him dearly. |

| Have you tried making a sharp noise (like ahah) when he sees another dog and starts barking, while turning around and walking the other way? You walk in the other direction for 5 or so steps and turn back around to face the dog again. If he barks again you turn around, if not you walk closer to the dog. My Yorkie is horrible about that and I am not even sure this would work for her but I have seen it on a training show.
