| nightmare??????? This morning at about 4:30 I was abruptly awakened when Teddy let out a horrible scream from in his bed next to mine. I was awake and on my feet in less than a second. Turned on the light and looked in at him and he was just looking at me I took him out and looked him over and then kept him in bed with me for the rest of the night. He sems to be totally fine and normal. What the heck could it have been? He has never done anything like it before and I really hope he never does again because I about had a heart attach thinking there was something wrong with him!

| Well, I've never had it happen to one of my dogs, but I have night screams sometimes. And I know that my dogs dream and twitch like I do when I sleep, so it is possible that dogs sleep the same way humans do. I will scream bloody murder while I am sleeping, and then someone will come running to wake me up, and I don't even know that I did it. As long as he seems ok while he is awake, I don't think you need to think of it as more than just a nightmare.

| Kiele actually did something similar to this the other day. She was sleeping on my bed and the lights were on and me and my boyfriend were watching tv and all of a sudden she jumped up and was barking so bad and she has peed all over herself and where she was sleeping. Im not sure if she did it while she was sleep or right when she jumped up but i know something in her sleep had to scare her. |

| One of ours trembles and barks in her sleep. I had a dog a while back that would run in his sleep! |
