| Tossing dog off balcony gets man 3 years in jail I can't believe this!!! It is on MSN hotmail page. It was a 10 wk old YorkiePoo. My heart hurts beyond measure. I am going to email the judge and congratulate him on his stiff sentence. How can we insure that all judges are this strict? |

| Good for that judge, though! He really wanted to make a statement about animal cruelty, not just a slap on the wrist!

| These kinds of stories make me sick, because they sound like things my ex-husband would have done out of anger towards me. (One of the many reasons that he is my EX husband) Luckily it never escalated to anything like this with my cats, but I was afraid for them all the time when he got angry. He has gone through several intense therapy sessions for his anger, and I'm not sure that jail time alone will make it right for anyone involved in this particular case!!!! -O

| 3 years in jail Quote:
I think that may be the maximum sentence, not sure. A few years ago a guy grabbed a Bichon, Leo, out of his owner's car and threw him into traffic where he was hit by a car (of course) and died on the way to the vet's office. The guy got 3 years and I think that was the maximum. Different states may have different laws. I agree that the sentence should be MUCH longer! | |

| Yay for that judge. At least he took it seriously being an animal lover himself. It's about time someone came to the defence of these helpless animals. Someone should through him off the balcony so he can feel the terror that puppy felt. I hope he get's his in jail. |
