Momiji doesn't know how to play with other dogs.... Well, Momiji looooves other dogs. I take her to dog park and she just can't wait to get in there with other dogs but the thing is she doesn't play with them. She chase other dogs and try to kiss them, that's all she wants to do. Not chasing ball with other dog, not wrestle with other dogs, but jump up to other dogs face and sniff and kiss them. (she is tiny 2.5lb girl who chase Great Dane and kiss him...) I am working on teaching her not to jump up to other dog's face since it may scare other dog or make other dog to be aggressive or something. For now, other dog owners are fine with Momiji's behavior since they know but if I want to take her to other dog park or something, it will be a problem. Do you have any tip how I can teach her to play with other dogs?? Also she does go to daycare about once a week. I have no idea how is she doing there.... Daycare people said she is fine, but what is "fine" means???? I just want her to be well adjusted dog. Thanks.

It sounds like she is socialized, and just making sure to greet all the other dogs. If its her first time, I really wouldn't be concerned. She will eventually pick up on how the other dogs play with each other and learn. The first couple of times I took Chip all he did was sit under the bench, sniff all the dogs, every inch of the park, and the humans too! Now he runs and chases the other dogs, wrestles, humps (dominance, which he learned from the park), etc. He was never into catching balls though, because everyone brings tennis balls which are too big for his mouth. Does your park have a small dog only area? I have taken Chip over to the big dog side, but he doesn't seem as comfortable there, and when I bring him back the small dog side he has a better time.

I take her to the small dog section but she loooves any size dog. And no, I have been taking her to the park every day for 3 weeks now and still she only wants to kiss other dogs. But I saw her wrestle a bit with this other Molkie the other day!!! They are about the same size so maybe that is the problem with her. She is so tiny that she isn't comfortable wrestle with other larger dog. (She is only 2.5lb at the most....) She usually park herself under people's legs. I guess because of her size she will not be wrestling with other dogs as much as I thought she might be. Oh well, at least she isn't afraid of other dogs!!! Thanks and Happy Friday!!!

Since she is so small I would keep her on the small dog side, just in case the big ones start chasing each other and she is caught in the middle and accidentally gets pummelled I only take Chip to the park once a week, along with some kind of outing to a pet store, or dog event too keep him socialized (not that its hard with him).

| I'd ask them what they mean by fine. Also, I agree in keeping her away from the really big dogs, so she doesn't get stepped on.
