| I am still so new to this potty training thing that I am not one to give great advice, I am sure others have much better things to try. But like I mentioned in a post earlier that I have started using lunch meat and he only gets it if he poops on the pad. The hardest part was to get him to do it the first time, which I had to pick him up mid squat and put him on the pad, when he finished I got so excited and gave him his treat. And another thing that I think helped is I got gates and gated off the room we are in most of the day, so I will see him everytime he goes. ((No more hiding from me.)) I do know your pain though. Today I babysat a 13 week old shih tzu along side my 11 week old puppy. I cleaned up so much bathroom today I seriously felt like I was going to freak out. And I get to do it for the rest of the week. I don't know what I got myself into. |

There is a book called, Housetraining for Dummies that has been really helpful to me by Susan McCullough. However, I am still having trouble. He is doing pretty well, but still has a few accidents.
