![]() Started Potty-training Lucy as soon as we got her last Saturday. She does a very good job she pees and poops outside when we take her out. But for the past 2 nights she has pooped before we put her to bed and yet she still poops in her crate during the night. Why is she doing this? any suggestions? Also everytime we go outside she roams around before doing her business, which is fine, but she seems to like to roll around in the mulch or pick up little rocks, on her way to finding her bathroom spot. Is thsi normal?

![]() How old is she. She sounds like she is a baby. And yes, there are lots and lots of better things to do (distractions) than to do potty - hahahaha. Are you rewarding her after she does potty? If not, than maybe you should this way she looks forward to doing 'good potty' behavior for you! ![]() Get a really yummy treat for good potty.

![]() Thanks for your advice. Yes we do try giving her treats while were still outside after she does her business and we praise her every single time. But she doesn't seem to be much into treats, so we started just giving her pieces of our older yorkie's food because for some odd reason she seems to enjoy eating there food over her own. But good news is that last night she didn't have any accidents in her cage at all and did her business outside this morning with no problem. SO that was exciting.
