| My Kobe is a Scaredy Cat!!! Hi everyone!!! Well, as I posted awhile back, when I first got Kobe, I went back to Norcal and he only knew me. I just graduated in May and now I'm back living with my mother in Socal. It's taken awhile, but he's finally used to her. The problem is it takes him foreverrrrrr to get "used" to someone. If I walk him, he trots but god forbid someone walks by too.....he just freezes up. He shakes like crazy and I become scared that his blood levels are dropping. The only dog he has played with was my Aunts Yorkie, but that was after day two, and now she's moving to GA. I took him to the doggie park yesterday for the first time and he wouldnt leave my side at all. Other dogs would try to sniff him and he wouldnt play when they wanted too. I'm just nervous because he's such a nervous and scary dog and honestly, even though my breeder was GREAT I feel bad for wondering if he was abused as a pup. This is my FIRST small dog and maybe I'm overreacting, but when I see other small dogs (esp. at the dag park) playing, it makes me wonder. Is there anything I can do to socialize him better?? |
