| Help! Dior is peeing on the couch! I am very frustrated by Dior. She peed on the couch exactly 3 times. How do i make this stop. She got spayed at 6 months and is currently 8 months old. She is not allowed on the couch but its hard, because she can already jump up and down on her own. I am trying very hard to compose myself and be stern without spanking, but she is really testing my patience. Has anyone ever been through this or dealing with it.. I need some serious advice.

| Try tinfoil. They are suppose to not like the noise when the jump on it. Just try it first while you are at home to make sure that Dior wont eat it. |

| Omg!!! My dog does this too!!! And its a new development. She's totally trained to go on the wee wee pads. But lately she's been peeing on the couch, and it seems to be out of spite. She does it if i go out and don't take her, or if anyone leaves the house. I don't know what to do about it either!! Any help would be great. |

| Dior is crated while i am at work. The few times she has done this, i was either in the kitchen preparing dinner or in the office. I caught her in the act once. I will give your responses a try and see if its works.

| I found this link helpful in explaining some things..don't know if it will answer anything for you, but worth a try. http://www.paw-rescue.org/PAW/PETTIP...ip_Marking.php I hear your frustration, but remember "spanking" even lightly won't really teach your dog anything other then to fear you. If you are unable to catch her in the act and correct it, I would try some of the other suggestions. Make sure you cleaned the spot with a good product to rid the smell. Good luck, Kathy |

| My dog just did the same thing for the first time last week. I have a sofa cover, so I washed the cover and used simple solution on the sofa. I usually leave my girl in her pen when i am not around, but I went upstairs to do laundry and she decided to do pee right where she stands on the sofa looking for me. I have been considering getting a scat mat to place on the sofa, cause I would like to be able to have her out even when i am out of sight for a few , but not sure if that is cruel, and it is also kind of expensive. I have also considered putting crib pads on the sofa under the sofa cover in case she does this again. I know your frustration, my dog is great with using the box when i am around (and able to treat reward her for using it) but seems to "forget" when I am out of sight. She is currently 7 mths old. |

| I have the small dog litter box that you are supposed to use the pellets in. I use the arm and hammer pee pads and I bought some plastic crating from Home Depot on top-- I cut it to size. It is in the ceiling/lighting section. Fiona would drag the pee pad all over without it and it helps keep her paws dry. Hope that helps |
