| The Licker! Okay, here's a question. I've nicknamed my Tobie "The Licker" because he licks me like crazy. When I get out of the shower and put lotion on and sit down, he licks the exposed parts (ie: ankles, arms, legs) I know he licks for affection, but at some point he's got to stop. Anybody else that has a chronic licker with advise on getting them to stop licking so much. I like the affection, but don't want my face dripping with puppy slobber! Tobie's mommy |

| Wrigley does the same thing! She's a licker in general, but if there is lotion involved, even more so. Crosley isn't a licker at all, but depending on the lotion, she might get interested. I'm not sure how you break them though, I guess it doesn't really bother me. |

| My kids lick when I get out of the shower or when I put lotion on. They are on a full-fledged top priority mission to remove the evil smelly stuff from their mom! |

| Me too Izzy does the same thing. He will lick my hand, arm to death if I let him. When I take off shoes or socks he is right there trying to lick or sniff my feet...that is when you realize that they are just that A DOG! I just tell him no and he stops.

| We never had the licking issue with Josie. I mean she gives "kisses" but, not over whelming. Then, we have Jojo...I have actually timed him, he can go licking 10 minutes with out stopping.....10 minutes! I love him but not the licking, for that long. He's only 4 mths old so, I'm hoping he'll grow out of it.

| My Boston is an obsesive licker. We say that Tank (yorkie) gives kisses out of love and Buckeye (boston) is just obsessed. I think it's my fault though 'cause when he was a baby anytime he'd lick I'd say "good kisses!!" and ever since he's been obsessive! He's a year old and doesn't stop so I think once a licker always a licker. |

He sounds just like my Bichon, who we call "SirLickalot". He never grew out of it. (He is almost 13 and still does it) He will stop when I say no lick, but then he is back at it within minutes. You might want to try to curb the behavior now, or you'll have a SirLickalot on your hands too lol

| I've got a chronic licker too. Not only does he obsessively lick me, but Kiba will obsessively lick the blanket he is laying on, the bed, the couch--whatever it may be, he licks it until it's soaked! I don't know what to do about this habit. The funny thing is, he's not as interested in licking the water off my feet after a shower--but Tifa is! |

| Tucker is a licker. He loves lotion, but it's not a requirement. I ask him where he got his licker license. Get it? Licker/liquor! ha ha ha But seriously now... it kinda gets on my nerves, so I let him get a few in and then I complain. He usually stops. Teresa |
