i got skoshi at 8 weeks and he goes outside to the bathroom and to play. unless its too cold. in my opinion if you keep in locked up till a certain age then its gonna be hard to traint o go the bathroom outside. the only place skoshi poops is on the mat in the house in front of the door if we dont get him outside in time. which is good because he knows to go to the door to go outside

We have put our puppy out since he was 8 weeks old (when we got him). He's a puppy, it's very natural for them to go OUTSIDE. There are days when it was below zero, he learned really fast, if he goes potty, he goes in. Luckily for my first few weeks the temp was mid-20's and we had smooth sailing, and by the time it got so blasted cold, he already knew what to do It's been upper 20's and low 30's with about 2 feet of soft snow, and HE LOVES IT. He charges through the snow like crazy and has a LOT of fun outside with the kids, and he's only 3.5 months old!! He knows that if he sits by the door, it's time for him to go in. I think my little spit-fire will go NUTS once it's REALLY nice out like your 54 degrees, he won't know what to do with himself.

| Just be aware that if the shots haven't all been given, your pup could pick up something out there. Unless it's your own yard and it's fenced in, I'd wait until all the shots are done.

I agree. I live in an apartment community and a week after I got Sparky, I had to take him to the vet's and he had picked up tapeworms. The vet told me to be on the safe side that since I don't live in a controlled environment, it would be better to keep him inside until after he finished his shots. Better to be safe than sorry.

I guess living in an apartment area where there are other pets, I would be leary. But I would think it could be hard trainging them inside if eventually you wanted to go outside with her. Best of luck to you!!
