| Don't Know What 2 Do Coco is driving me crazy. We're having 2 problems: 1- Potty training is not working at all!! It seems to just get worse and worse. I keep her in her x-pen and she will not pee on the pad in there, ever! And when I let her out of the pen the first thing she does is pee and poop on the floor somewhere! And she will be out for only an hour and pee like 5 times! And it's getting harder and harder for me to bend over and clean up after her so much. 2- She will not eat her dog food! She is on Nutro Natural Choice and I have tried giving her Royal Canin and Canidae. She wont eat any of them!! She'd rather starve. She will go a whole day without eating anything! And I try not to give her any of our food but I can't let her go so long without eating because I feel so bad. I don't know what 2 do anymore!! |

| Cali used to do great on pads and then starting peeing and pooping everywhere! It drove me crazy! So I started to take her out to go. And that worked great! I still keep the pads around just in case she has to go and I am not there to take her out. And now she uses both! Ive got the best of both worlds Do you feed her just kibble? Try soaking it in water or chicken broth for a min or two. Or you can try mixing a teaspoon or so of wet food with it. They both work great for me Good luck!

| Just give it time. Mine was very hard to potty train and still is an everyday thing. And just keep trying samples of food. Or start cooking. Sorry your having problems, good luck.

| You know dogs are a lot smarter than we think. She knows what's going on with you and is just acting out. Some people have said that when they were pregnant, their dogs acted out badly. I would highly recommend picking her up out of the ex-pen, and placing her outside, so she has no chance of peeing on the floor the minute you let her out. Stay out there with her for as long as you can until she goes potty, if she doesn't go potty, pick her back up and put her back in her ex-pen until she goes. That way she gets the idea, that if she goes in the designated spots, she will have freedom, otherwise she will not. About the food, she will NEVER starve herself, so just keeping feeding her what you have, and if she doesn't eat it then, she will eventually. Don't give in and give her something else or human food, because then it's really hard to go backwards. Just stick to your guns and be tough. I know it's hard because they are so cute and their faces look so sorry but you have to, so you can manage with her once the babies are born. Any new belly/pregnancy pics of you?

My furkids Donating Member | Jessica, I had a hard time finding something that Sadie would eat too...I can't even begin to tell you how many different foods I had tried. I used to boil chicken breast and cut up small pieces in her kibbles...I used to kind of mush it together so she wouldn't just eat the chicken. Once I got Lillie (I know you dont' need another dog right now!!) I fed them both Canidae all stages...I mix a little of the Canidae wet food with the kibbles and they love it!

| If you want to stick with Nutro Natural Choice try the chicken and oatmeal puppy! Gracie hated to lamb and rice and the man there said most do now that i've changed she eats normally and is putting on weight! Just a suggestion!
