| Awesome training treat - free sample online!!! Tetley had his first day at school on Saturday and he did SO well! At first he wasn't paying much attention to me with the treats I had brought for him, so the trainer handed me the ultimate training tool - a dehydrated chicken heart! I know, sounds disgusting, but is it really any worse than a bull's wanker? LOL So anyways, once I started using the chicken heart as a lure, he was putty in my hands. I just hold it and give him a little lick/nibble every time he does something right. Keeps his attention on me like magic! And I found out where to get them! For my Canadian friends - I found it at Global Pet Foods, $5.99 for a 40 g bag. There's a few dozen hearts in there. So I went online to find out more from the manufacturer, and they offer FREE SAMPLES! They apparently have branches in the US and Canada - so try it out! Here's the website: http://www.bennybullys.com/ Since I already bought the hearts, I ordered a sample of liver pellets to try. I hope I'm not telling you all something you knew already - but I've never heard of dehydrated chicken hearts as a training treat. I was a bit hesitant when the trainer handed it to me because Tetley has a major sensitive stomach, but he had no problem with this AT ALL! I can't wait to go back to class with him on Saturday! |

| Thanks for the link. I did order the free sample but when I tried to find a local retailer the closest I came up with was Fort Lauderdale and they only carry the Liver Chops. That Liver Powder to sprinkle on dog food sounded like a great idea to me. Anyone know where we can buy that online?

| ooh! I'm excited! We bought BennyBully liver treats for Tia and she LOOOOVES them! I cut them into to pencil-eraser size pieces to make them quick rewards. I'm also excited because there is a Global Food store 5 minutes walking distance from my home I'm going to order the sample today....Tia starts puppy kindergarten on Saturday and I was told to bring in "smelly" treats. Thanks for the tip! |
