| Leg Lifting Is "leg lifting" when peeing different than "marking"? Tucker has been lifting his leg to pee for over a month (he is almost 6 months old). He only pees in his litter box, but lately it has been spraying over the top and wetting out side of the litter box and in the case of his play pen, it often lands out side of the play pen (yesterday my daughter had the misfortune to have her shoes on the floor next to his playpen - she was not a happy camper ). Anyway to convince him to become a squatter again? I wonder if it is the walls of the litter pan the has him lifting his leg? 'm too afraid of the mess to just try a pad on the ground. I thought leg lifting was learned? He has not been around other male dogs that do this. Suggestions anyone? I will be having him neutered at very soon! Will that help? Julie and Tucker |

| I don't have any answers, I just wanted to tell you my male who was neutered at 6 months and now at almost three years has started lifting his leg. He has never been around another male to witness it either. I thought for sure he was going to be a lifetime squater. |

| Male learn to lift their leg when they pee. They also lift their leg when they mark so it could peeing or marking. Neutering may help
