| ![]() I must have been truly blessed with my wild child. I started out taking Sparky outside every little bit. But then he developed tapeworms and the vet said he could have picked it up outside from the other dogs feces. We live in an apartment complex (on the third floor, I might add). The vet recommended that I paper train him until he got older and had more shots. This was when he was six weeks old. He is now 12 weeks old and is almost 100 percent paper trained. I put paper in the kitchen and one bathroom. He will usually pee on the one in the kitchen, and goes to the one in the bathroom to poop. (don't know why, but if it works don't fix it). I plan to begin training him to go outside (like his older step-sister Cindy) after his next shot series, if the vet okays it. He took some watching and spot cleaning, but he is such a joy. He has me well trained. He has finally weasled himself into sleeping in bed with my husband and me. We all slept through the night last night for the first time since December 23, 2006. HALLELULAH!!!!! What did I ever do without my little wild child? |

| ![]() Well when I got home from work yesterday, she had peed on the floor a couple of times but not too bad. Took her for a walk and she pooped. Stayed out for thirty minutes. Got back in the house, she pees as soon as she's in her expen. Put her on a leash and keep her with me and watch her close. No problem. Take her back out for a walk at 8:30, no pee. Come back, watch her, still no pee. Take her back out for last time at 10:30pm, no pee. Bring her back in the house, turn my back for a nano second, she pees as soon as I set her down. I screamed at her so loud "NO!" that she started screaming. I can't seem to get her to figure out pee goes outside. Now this morning, I take her out at 5:00am. She pees. We stay out for thirty minutes. No poop. Come in the house, put her in the crate and watch her, nothing. Walk out the room for two seconds, come back in the room, poop in the crate. Which means she doesn't want to use it in front of me now. I feel like crying.
